Residents are encouraged to check your strata bylaws before purchasing a fresh cut / live Christmas Tree to bring inside your unit.
Most strata corporations have a bylaw prohibiting fresh cut / live Christmas Trees.
Some of the reasons for having such a bylaw include, but are not limited to:
- Increased risk of fire.
- Improper disposal of the trees in the strata garbage rooms.
- The mess these trees can create during transfer in/out of the building.
Please check your Bylaws before you buy a fresh cut tree this holiday season.
